THE THINKING
ORGANIZATION

sixth and final instalment of our series deals with the importance
of communication in a thinking organization.
(Here
are Part 1, Part
2, Part 3, Part
4 and Part 5 if
you missed them.)
Communication
ouve
got all the processes established to ensure your company is on
the right track to become a learning organization. Now comes the
key can you communicate this throughout the organization?
Your
management team will be the ones who initiate the learning processes.
Consider these questions:
- Do your managers share information willingly?
- Do your managers offer to assist others?
- Do your managers show their commitment?
By
ensuring your managers are establishing good communication techniques,
there is more opportunity for the rest of the staff to communicate
well. Role models help a great deal to establish positive linkages.
Some
key areas where good communication is necessary:
- Informal meetings to share information
- Benchmarking best practices
- Focusing on customer values
- Examining key competencies of top performers
- Identifying problem areas and seeking out solutions
t
is everyones responsibility to take their learning throughout
the organization. How can you make this happen?
Will
there be bulletin boards for information
