Many
say life is what you make it - in other words, it's a self-fulfilling
prophecy. Think about some of the people you witness everyday:
-
people who have nothing good to say about their co-workers,
friends or family
- people
who look at each setback as if it occurred purposely to cause
them distress
- people
who are always so busy they never have time to have fun and
smile or laugh
These
people are miserable, and is anyone surprised at that? Some people
want to be that way; but if you don't, what can you do?

Well,
the reality is we can lead whatever kind of life we want. If you
want to lead a happy and fulfilling life, try this:
-
do what you love to do - it's easier to put a smile on your
face than when you're doing the less enjoyable things
- find
one good thing to say about every person, everything and every
situation you encounter
- set
goals for the positive things you want to happen in your life
-- write them down and project a date for success
- when
you feel down, make a mental note of how long you'll stay in
that state (five minutes, five days...) and then get out of
it and leave it behind
- plan
at least one pleasant experience for yourself everyday

IMPACT OF MERGERS...
Successful
mergers generally account for only one third of the mergers attempted.
Those which are successful indicate a major reasons for success
is the treatment of personnel.
When
personnel are treated well, the newly merged organization:
- retains
key talent
-
maintains previous levels of productivity and individual performance
-
continues sustained and complete communications
- places
personnel in positions appropriate for their individual skills
and temperaments
- addresses
key workforce problems
- recognizes
the “culture fit” between companies
- ensures
good management of the remaining employees
