Stuck?
Get a Coach
Are you stuck with a problem you can't seem
to find your way past? Check out some of the following scenarios;
maybe they will sound familiar to you:
- You look around your office and see
piles of paper everywhere! Telling yourself that a messy desk
is the sure sign of a genius just doesn't work anymore. You
need help! (Okay, that's me,
but it might be you!)
- You realize you are getting no satisfaction
from your job. It's time to move on if you want to be happy,
but the thought of figuring out where to go and what to do is
too overwhelming.
- You would like to move ahead in your
organization but feel your leadership skills are not what they
need to be for you to be promoted.
- You just had to deal with a melt-down
in your team planning session today. There must be a way to
help the team become more cohesive and co-operative.
What do these situations have in common? They
can all be addressed with the help of a coach. Yes, a coach! Consider
what a coach can do for you
- Help you define your personal or professional
vision more clearly
- Help you discern how your personal
traits and talents will get you where you want to go
- Help you formulate a plan of action
to attain your vision
- Cheer you on as you make progress
- Support you and help you get back on
track when you falter
Maybe you thought coaching was just for executives
and senior management. Not any more! You can now find coaches
for any area of your life. On the internet, there are coaches
for time management, getting organized, cleaning your house, networking,
entertaining
really, anything you can think of.
With a bit of research, I'm sure you can find
the right person to help you achieve your vision. Often, you will
already have what it takes to get where you want to go. What your
coach will do is help you to focus, to step back and look at the
bigger picture. With someone in your corner, rooting for you and
guiding you, the growth you envision will come about.

Master Time Management
A key to strong time management skills is a
sense of URGENCY! This concept will cut the ever growing to-do
lists in half. If a phone call needs to be made, make it! The
benefits of this approach are:
- Clients impressed with your timeliness
- Less stress worrying about what you
may have forgotten to do
- A sense of accomplishment
- Ability to focus on projects and not
be distracted by little things you've been putting off
So, don't procrastinate. Remember, we can plan
for the future, learn from the past, and live in the present.
