Summer in Saskatchewan

With the arrival of warm weather, people start to crave the outdoors. As temperatures rise, absenteeism seems to rise as well. Golf courses and lakes can be stiff competition for employers over the summer. So how does an employer compete with a beautiful summer? Here are a few ideas to keep your employees in the office:

  • Keep the air conditioning moderate. Make it comfortable,
    not like a meat locker.
  • Arrange for an outdoor break area so staff can still get
    some fresh air and sun.
  • Be flexible with meeting locations, allowing for a
meeting on a patio or deck instead of in a stuffy room.

It’s hard to blame those employees when the sun is shining. With a few more incentives to be at work, yet still enjoying the weather, employees will be much happier and more productive.
